Tavira Mart ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit or buy from taviramart.in (the "Store"), how we use it, and your rights. We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. Information we collect

  • Order and contact details: name, phone number, email address, shipping and billing address, and pin code.
  • Order information: products bought, order value, payment method (Prepaid or Cash on Delivery) and order history.
  • Payment information: online payments are processed by our payment partners. We do not see or store your full card, UPI PIN or banking credentials.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed and how you reached the Store, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Communications: messages, photos or videos you send us, for example when you report a damaged item or share a review.

2. How we use your information

  • To process, confirm, ship and deliver your orders, including calling or messaging you to confirm Cash on Delivery orders.
  • To send order updates and tracking details by SMS, WhatsApp or email.
  • To handle cancellations, replacements, refunds and customer support.
  • To prevent fraud and misuse, such as repeated refusal of COD orders.
  • To improve our Store and, where permitted, show you relevant offers and ads (for example on Facebook and Instagram).
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We share only the information needed for each purpose with:

  • Shopify, which hosts our Store.
  • Shiprocket and its courier partners, to ship and deliver your order and handle Cash on Delivery collection.
  • Payment gateways, to process online payments.
  • Cash on Delivery and order-confirmation apps we use on the Store.
  • Analytics and advertising partners such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google, which may use cookies to measure and improve our ads.
  • Government or law enforcement authorities, when required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Cookies

We use cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how the Store is used and measure our ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the Store, such as the cart and checkout, may not work properly without them.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil your orders and as required by Indian tax and accounting laws (generally up to 8 years). Other data is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data. Payments are processed over secure, encrypted connections by our payment partners. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw your consent to marketing messages, or nominate someone to exercise your rights. To make a request or raise a privacy concern, contact our Grievance Officer below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

8. Children

Our Store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
